    <content:encoded xmlns:content="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/"><![CDATA[<p>Il Centro di Modellistica, Calcolo e Statistica (<b>CMCS</b>) è un centro di ricerca interdipartimentale affiliato all'<a href="https://ateneo.unife.it/it" class="external-link" target="_blank">Università degli Studi di Ferrara</a>, promosso dai seguenti dipartimenti: <a class="external-link" href="http://dmi.unife.it/it" target="_blank">Matematica e Informatica</a>, <a class="external-link" href="http://www.eco.unife.it/it" target="_blank">Economia e Management</a> ed <a class="external-link" href="https://de.unife.it/it" target="_blank">Ingegneria</a>. Il centro coinvolge diversi <a href="resolveuid/8071887e89634b769fa232c833850a31" class="internal-link">ricercatori</a>, non solo afferenti all'Università di Ferrara, ma a più università italiane dislocate su tutto il territorio nazionale.</p>
<p>Il centro è stato fondato nel 2004 su iniziativa dei Proff. Patrizio  Bianchi, Lorenzo Pareschi, Fausto Segala e Luigi Salmaso come centro  interdisciplinare per la modellistica computazionale e la statistica.  Nel 2011 ha cambiato il termine Statistica in Simulazione per poi  tornare oggi alla sua denominazione originale.</p>
<p>La funzione primaria del CMCS è quella di svolgere un'<a href="https://ateneo.unife.it/centri/centro/modellistica/cosa-facciamo" class="internal-link">attività di ricerca</a> in diverse discipline, tra cui la <b>matematica applicata</b>, l'<b>analisi numerica</b>, il <b>calcolo scientifico</b>, la <b>fluidodinamica computazionale</b>, l'<b>apprendimento automatico</b> (meglio noto come machine learning) e la <b>statistica</b>. Lo scopo finale prevede l'applicazione dei traguardi scientifici raggiunti a problematiche reali e tangibili, attraverso lo sviluppo e l'implementazione <span style="text-align: justify; ">di modelli matematici e software. </span></p>
<p><span style="text-align: justify; "> </span><span style="text-align: justify; ">Inoltre il centro si impegna ad organizzare <a href="https://ateneo.unife.it/centri/centro/modellistica/eventi" class="internal-link">eventi</a> pubblici e divulgativi, di carattere nazionale ed internazionale, connessi <span style="text-align: justify; ">all’innovazione culturale, scientifica e tecnica dei settori di competenza di cui il centro stesso si occupa.</span></span></p>
